Yarn critique: Quince & Co Finch was a delight to work with! soft and bouncy, I looked forward to knitting this project every day I was working on it… which is probably why I churned this monster out in 11 days. (What! I thought it was 2 weeks. I just shocked myself.) I definitely recommend it! (I did find a knot in one skein but it was easy enough to felt-join it back together.)
Pattern critique: The pattern is a Mystery KAL and so the pattern is given out in clues. These are well-written and fun to work on. I am more of a chart person so I did feel a bit deprived of the visual aspect, but it was fun to just trust the pattern writer for once.
Not sure I would knit it again (seeing as i already have one of these) but maybe as a present for a very deserving friend. It definitely was fun, and if I had to knit it again I would definitely make some modifications for fun, especially on the garter stripe wings.
